Swiss House - Videoconferencing and Presentation Rooms
York Telecom designed the A/V systems to support the needs at the Swiss House for Advanced Research and Education, the world’s first digital Consulate.
The Swiss House has a rear projection presentation system integrated into a glass wall for use in collaborative work sessions. It displays a variety of sources, including traditional video, computers, and streaming media. There is also an arena area for videoconferencing, using wireless microphones and plasma screen displays. The space also has video cameras to stream live events to the internet.
The Swiss House serves as a link between the scientific, academic, and high-tech communities of New England and Switzerland. Its mission is to support the next generation by focusing on projects that support knowledge transfers, exchange programs and by assisting young Swiss Scientists in maintaining close contact to their home country.
