DICOM Medical Imaging System

York Telecom was asked to build a DICOM Imaging System for several hospitals, including the Lenox Hill Hospital’s Department of Nuclear Medicine, Brigham & Women’s Breast Imaging Center, Yale-New Haven Medical Center, and the Hospital for Special Surgery.

A DICOM imaging system is a high-resolution projection system that can display one large image, or two side-by-side, with no loss in detail.  The system includes inputs for laptops, VCR/DVD, and dedicated inputs from a PACS station.  Dr. Birdwell, of Partners Healthcare, said about the DICOM system, “I can see detail that was not being reproduced in our Radiology Projector.”
