Since you have chosen to do business with York Telecom, we are obligated to honor that relationship with great care, particularly with the information that you share with us. We believe that client privacy should not be compromised. At the same time, we want to offer you a broad array of visual communications solutions and services that will help you attain your goals. Accordingly, we want you to understand what information we gather and how we use it.

What Information We Collect
"Nonpublic personal information" is nonpublic information about you that we obtain in connection with providing a system or service to you. For example, nonpublic personal information includes your contact information, and that of other members of your system design and integration team. York Telecom may combine information about you that we have with information we obtain from business partners or other companies.

This policy does not apply to the practices of companies that York Telecom does not own or control, or to people that York Telecom does not employ or manage.

To Whom We Disclose Information
We limit access to personal information about you to employees involved in the delivery of critical visual communications solutions and services.

We may share nonpublic personal information about you with companies involved in your specific project ("project affiliates") on a per project basis. These "affiliates" include system design and integration contractors, maintenance service providers, and the manufacturers of major components of your visual communications system. These disclosures are always limited to information that is critical to the superior customer service that we believe add value to your relationship with us.

We will not share nonpublic personal information about you with companies that are not members of our design, integration and support team ("nonaffiliated third parties").

What Information We Disclose To Project Affiliates
We disclose only contact information for important members of your integral team. You may direct us not to disclose to our affiliates information that does not relate solely to each project and service delivery through direct contact with our project manager, technical manager, or sales executive.

York Telecom does not rent, sell, or share personal information about you with other people or nonaffiliated companies except to provide products or services you've requested, when we have your permission, or under the following circumstances:

We respond to subpoenas, court orders, or legal process, or to establish or exercise our legal rights or defend against legal claims.

Your Choice to Limit Marketing
We seek to excel in every aspect of your visual communications system, including design, integration, and maintenance. This is because we want your feedback, your continued relationship, and your positive reference. At the close of every integration project, we will ask for the right to use your contact information in our project reference literature, found in our proposals, presentations and publications. We will not use your contact information as a project reference without your express permission and understanding.

You may limit our affiliates from marketing their products or services to you based on contact information that we share with them. Your decision will remain binding until and unless you notify us of your desire to change that decision. This limitation does not apply in certain circumstances, such as if you currently do business with one of our affiliates or if you ask to receive information or offers from them.

We do not share customer information with nonaffiliated third parties for their independent use in marketing their products.

Our Policy With Respect To Former Clients
We follow the same privacy policies and practices for former clients as are described in this notice.

Our Security Procedures
We will safeguard any information you share with us. In addition, we will limit the collection and use of nonpublic personal information to the minimum required to provide you with superior products or services. We maintain physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards that comply with federal standards to guard your nonpublic personal information.

Opt Out
We may send you marketing information about York Telecom products, solutions and services, such as product announcements and event invitations. To limit these marketing offers or to otherwise "opt out", call us toll free at 1.866.836.8463.

We may send you certain communications relating to York Telecom service, such as service announcements and administrative messages that are considered part of your York Telecom account, without offering you the opportunity to opt out of receiving them.

Changes to this Privacy Policy
York Telecom may update this policy. We will notify you about significant changes in the way we treat personal information by sending a notice to the primary email address specified in your York Telecom account or by placing a prominent notice on our site.
